Tip of the Week!

How do I know if I am listed on Medicare's approved ordering/referring provider's list for the June deadline?

http://www.SwiftPage2.com/CampResource/2U0MK4ZTMC4GU6Q4/8/Text.jpg

Many of you have already heard about the deadline for dentists approaching in June 2015. This new requirement is important for any dentist who write prescriptions for medication to their Medicare patients.

So how does a dentist know if they are listed on that approved list of ordering/referring providers for Medicare Part B to make sure their patient's prescriptions are eligible for coverage?

You can find out right on Medicare's website! You can look up your name/NPI number on the downloadable list and see if you are there! Here is a link where you can do so:

Download ordering/referring lists here

We just downloaded the updated list of approved Medicare ordering/referring providers from their website (the most current list from medicare was updated on 3/24/15). If anyone needs help locating if they are on the approved list or not - please feel free to call or write and we are more than happy to help you.

Please e-mail training@dentalwriter.com for these requests

Medicare also released a fact sheet on ordering/referring providers with great information to help you through this process and decide where you stand - here is a link to it:

View Medicare Fact Sheet on ordering/referring providers here

If you are not currently listed as an ordering/referring provider for Medicare Part B and wish to be listed as an ordering/referring provider ONLY, take a look at the 855o enrollment form at the link below:
