There is actually not a direct crosscode for extractions, so typically you can either bill the "D" code on the medical claim (many insurers these days will process "D" codes when they are medically necessary services), or use the CPT code 41899 (Unlisted procedure, dentoalveolar structures) with a narrative description. Tip: you can use the "ZZ" qualifier with a short narrative right on the line item in the supplemental information area!



D7999 - unspecified oral surgery procedure, by report

The crosscode for this will depend on what type of oral surgery procedure this code is being used to represent. IF there is not a crosscode available for the service, you would like be looking at 41899 for one as well.
