Is it permissible to take a CBCT including both jaws, and charge out a pano D0330 if a screen shot of the panoramic view is sent to the insurance company, since all of the same information is visible?

Hi Guest!

Great question. Yes, as long as you bill out only a single x-ray from the CBCT (instead of breaking it down into several different x-ray codes).

D0330 - panoramic radiographic image
Can be cross coded to:
70355 - Orthopantogram (eg, panoramic x-ray)

Hope this helps!
