The medical insurance company wants the diagnosis code. They won't pay for services without diagnosis code. The dental office says they don't convert codes to medical. Catch 22. Have any insight?

D7411 stands for: excision of benign lesion greater than 1.25 cm
D7911 stands for: complicated suture - up to 5 cm
As for the diagnosis code(s) for these procedures, you will likely be looking for a diagnosis code for a benign lesion in the oral cavity. The location of the lesion depends on what code to choose. Here are some examples below:
D10.0 - Benign neoplasm of lip
D10.1 - Benign neoplasm of tongue
D10.2 - Benign neoplasm of floor of mouth
D10.30 - Benign neoplasm of unspecified part of mouth
D10.39 - Benign neoplasm of other parts of mouth
D10.4 - Benign neoplasm of tonsil
