I'm having a hard time getting a detailed letter of medical necessity for E0486 from the ppcp. Am I able to use the letter in the dental writer formed letters? There is one in the dental writer quick letter.

Great question. Instead of using a QuickLetter template, we suggest generating a SOAP note/narrative report from DentalWriter for this purpose! QuickLetter templates are great for certain thing, however the SOAP note/narrative report is specific to each patient, which is always better when proving medical necessity.
You will of course want to obtain a prescription/written order from the physician for the custom made sleep appliance as well as note from their visit with the patient (especially noting CPAP intolerance, if applicable), but the remainder of the medical necessity information is typically provided by the dental practice, and the DentalWriter SOAP note/narrative report is perfect for that!
