Hi guest!

D7285 - incisional biopsy of oral tissue-hard (bone, tooth)
can be crosscoded to:
20240 - Biopsy, bone, excisional; superficial

D7411 - excision of benign lesion greater than 1.25 cm
can be crosscoded to:
40810 - Excision of lesion of mucosa and submucosa, vestibule of mouth without repair
40812 - Excision of lesion of mucosa and submucosa, vestibule of mouth with simple repair

Here are some ICD-10 coding options for you:
D10.2 - Benign neoplasm of floor of mouth
D10.39 - Benign neoplasm of other parts of mouth

Hope this helps, have a great day!

Good Afternoon,

So we use biopsy codes:

40808
40810
40812
40814
41112
41113

What would the dental cross codes for them? Is there only certain areas or times you can cross code them to dental?

Thank you

Hi Guest!

D7413 - excision of malignant lesion up to 1.25 cm
can be crosscoded to:
41116 - Excision, lesion of floor of mouth

As long as the lesion is location on the floor of the mouth, that is! If it is located somewhere else, let me know and I'm happy to offer you some coding options.
