Hello

So one of the insurance for a patient requires the clinic to first bill to medical insurance. I have never billed dental procedures for medical billing so I am completely lost as to what to do.

The teeth that got removed is completely bony impacted teeth, we took a full mouth ct scan and panoramic x-ray to diagnose the problem. Local anesthesia only and then the tooth extraction.

In this scenario, what diagnostic codes and cpt codes should I use and will there be any other information that is necessary to add to the claim?

Please help!

Thank you
