Need assistance in identifying the correct Medical CPT code for dental Code D7410.

D7410-- Lesion located on the left buccal mucosa (Buccal mucosa is the lining of the cheeks and the back of the lips, inside where they touch the teeth. )

Hi Guest!

D7410 - excision of benign lesion up to 1.25 cm
can be crosscoded to:
40810 - Excision of lesion of mucosa and submucosa, vestibule of mouth; without repair
40812 - Excision of lesion of mucosa and submucosa, vestibule of mouth; with simple repair
40814 - Excision of lesion of mucosa and submucosa, vestibule of mouth; with complex repair
40816 - Excision of lesion of mucosa and submucosa, vestibule of mouth; complex, with excision of underlying muscle

There are also specific biopsy codes available:
40490 - Biopsy lip
40808 - Biopsy, vestibule of mouth
41108 - Biopsy of floor of mouth

Hope this helps!
