We noticed when we cross code D9222 & D9223 to 00170 that medical states the code is incidental to a code billed on the same date of service and we can't bill the patient. However, we are providing the services and need to be reimbursed so how do we get them to not see it as incidental? Is there a way around this? Can we bill it is D9222 and D9223 to medical vs 00170? Any help with this is appreciated!

Also, when billing 00170, do you bill it as many times as D9222 and D9223 or just once since the code doesn't state time limits?
