K01.1 (impacted teeth) is a valid and billable ICD-10 diagnosis code.

Some medical insurers do not accept codes beginning with a "D" (some will), and want a CPT code instead.

D7230 - Removal of impacted tooth - partially bony

As for the CPT code for extractions, there is actually not a direct crosscode, so you can either bill the "D" code on the medical claim (many insurers these days will process "D" codes when they are medically necessary services), or you can use the CPT code below and include a narrative report describing the procedure:
41899 - Unlisted procedure, dentoalveolar structures

I am trying to bill out to medical for the code d7230 with the diagnosis code k01.1 but bcbs is telling me that it is an invalid code and will not give me the correct code to bill can you help
